“Shadow Thoughts” are Arthur’s original text based metal sculptures with shadows. The information age is so full of spin and spam,words and their meanings have become mostly self serving propaganda for one concern or another. “Shadow Thoughts” engage the viewer in real time by heightening our sensitivity to the text based objects and their possible deeper meaning or agenda driven purpose. These “words as objects" use text as (already existing found objects) assembled in an innovative technique to create skewed relationships by way of light and shadows
